About Conference Venue (Faculty of Economics)

CAMPUS TARONGERS

The Faculty of Economics is located on the Tarongers Campus. It is the most recent campus of the University, built around the Ramon Llull and Tarongers avenues in Valencia.
It holds the
Faculty of Economics, Law, Social Sciences and Education, as well as services such as as the Centre for Education and Quality Sanchis Guarner, the Audiovisual Workshop, the Damià Bonet Hall of Residence, the Research Institutes, the Gregori Maians Social Science Libraries, the Educacion Sciences Library and the Tarongers Sports Campus.
It is on the north-west side of the city, and is well connected by public and private transport to the other areas of the town.

Opposite the faculty's main entrance there is a tram stop called Tarongers which can take you to the beach in only three stops. It also connects the university to the city center. On Ramon Llull Street there are a wide number of bus routes that can take you to the city center, too.
There is also an entrance to a free public parking lot on Ramon Llull Street, next to the campus.

How to get to the Tarongers Campus (Conference Venue):

From the city

By public transport:
Bus,   9, 18, 29, 30, 40, 41 y 71. Visit the Website   EMTValencia
Metro and Tram, lines 4 y 6. Visit the Website   Metrovalencia

By car:
Come from the east by Serrería and Tarongers avenue. Come from the south by Catalunya avenue. Come from the west by Ronda Nord and come from the North by Highway Barcelona  AP7. If you come from the city center, the Faculty can be accessed by Aragon avenue towards Blasco Ibañez and then turn left to Ramon Llull street. There is an entrance to a free public parking lot on Ramon Llull Street, next to the campus. 

By Taxi:
You could take a taxi from everywhere in Valencia. You just need to point them with your hand. The hotel receptionists may help you get them too. It only takes 10 minutes to reach Tarongers Campus from the Nord train station at the city center.

From the Airport:

By bus:
The bus will take you to the city center where you need to look for the appropriate connections as explained before:

By metro:
Take line 3 (red) at the airport and stop at Facultats. Then take bus no.29 towards Tarongers.
Take line 3 or 5 and stop at Xativa. Then take bus no.40 towards Tarongers.

By Taxi:
You could get a taxi from the airport. It costs approximately 30 euros and it takes no more than 30 minutes to Tarongers campus.

 

About Fundación Universidad-Empresa (Doctoral Colloquium Venue)

The University-Enterprise Foundation of Valencia, institution promoted by the Social Committee (Consejo Social) since 1987, has had as  main objective to strengthen the relations between the University of Valencia and its social and economic surroundings.

With that goal in mind, the Foundation supports the development of joint activities in those areas which facilitate the exchange of knowledge and, as consequence, motivate economic development and progress.

ADEIT is located in the heart of Valencia’s historic quarter and is surrounded by landmark buildings including Santa Catalina’s Church, the Regional Government Palace, the Plaza Redonda Square, the Central Market, the Lonja de la Seda Silk Exchange (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Cathedral.

How to get to ADEIT, Fundación Universidad-Empresa (Doctoral Colloquium Venue)

By plane

The Valencia airport is about 8 km from the city centre. It has direct flights with the following countries: Germany (5), Belgium (2), Bulgaria (1), France (3), The Netherlands (3), Ireland (1), Italy (9), Malta (1), Norway (1), Portugal (1), UK (4), Czech Republic (1), Romania (3), Switzerland (2), Turkey (2) and Ukraine (1). Although some of them are non daily, connections flights through Madrid, Barcelona, or Mallorca airports are just less than one hour flight.

You can reach the city centre from the airport by taxi, by bus or by metro.

  • A taxi takes about 15 minutes to the city centre and costs 20 euros (including the extra fee for service from the airport).
  • A bus service called Valencia-Airport line 150 departs every 26 minutes from 5.25 to 22:00 from Monday to Friday. Saturdays, from 5:25 to 22:05, every 35 minutes. The fare is 1.40 euros. The nearest stop to the city centre is Gran Vía Ramón y Cajal with Cervantes within a 20 minutes’ walk to most of the hotels booked by the organisation.
  • Metro. Underground service line 3 (red) and line 5 (green) from the airport to city centre stations (Xativa and Colon) depart every 10 minutes. Single fare to/from city centre: €3,90. By train

Speed train AVE. There are comfortable trains from Madrid and Barcelona. The train station is located in the center of the city. For information on timetable and fares visit www.renfe.es

By car

There are two major roads leading to Valencia, one from Madrid (A-3) and another from Barcelona and France (AP-7).
